Receipts and Invoices

PayPress displays Stripe receipt and invoice links when Stripe provides them. These links help customers and merchants access payment documents without searching through the Stripe Dashboard.

Overview

PayPress displays Stripe receipt and invoice links when Stripe provides them. These links help customers and merchants access payment documents without searching through the Stripe Dashboard.

Requirements

  • Completed payment or subscription invoice.
  • Working webhook connection.
  • Stripe document links generated for the payment or invoice.

Steps

  1. Complete a payment through Stripe Checkout.
  2. Open the PayPress Orders page.
  3. Look for Receipt or Invoice actions when available.
  4. Open Order Details for more document links.
  5. For subscriptions, review the subscription invoice order and latest invoice information.

Expected Result

One-time payments commonly show a receipt link. Subscription payments commonly show hosted invoice and invoice PDF links. PayPress shows available links and hides unavailable ones.

Important Notes

Stripe controls document generation. Some links arrive through later webhook events, so they may not appear the instant checkout completes. For subscription invoices, the hosted invoice page often serves as the customer-facing billing document.

Troubleshooting

If a document link is missing, wait a few seconds and refresh. Confirm webhooks are processing charge, invoice, and related events. If the payment exists in Stripe but not in PayPress, check webhook setup first.
