Creating Donation Plans

A Donation plan controls the donation experience shown on your site, including currency, suggested amounts, custom amount behavior, notes, Payment Forms, and optional fundraising settings.

Overview

A Donation plan controls the donation experience shown on your site, including currency, suggested amounts, custom amount behavior, notes, Payment Forms, and optional fundraising settings.

Requirements

  • Administrator access.
  • Stripe connected.
  • Webhook configured.
  • A clear donation purpose or campaign.

Steps

  1. Open PayPress Plans.
  2. Add a new plan.
  3. Enter a donation plan name.
  4. Set Payment Type to Donation.
  5. Choose the currency.
  6. Add up to four suggested donation amounts.
  7. Decide whether to allow custom amounts.
  8. Set minimum and optional maximum donation limits.
  9. Choose a donation layout.
  10. Save the plan.
  11. Copy the shortcode to your donation page.

Expected Result

The Donation plan is ready to display on a WordPress page. Visitors can choose or enter a donation amount and continue to Stripe Checkout.

Important Notes

Donation plans do not require a Stripe Price in the same way subscription plans do. Donation amounts are validated by PayPress before Checkout is created.

Troubleshooting

If donation settings do not appear, confirm the plan type is Donation. If visitors see old donation amounts, check caching and make sure current PayPress hydration is not blocked.
