Fundraising Overview
Fundraising lets you add a public goal, progress display, and donation count to a Donation plan. It is designed for campaigns, drives, nonprofit appeals, community projects, memorial funds, and similar fundraising efforts.
Create a Fundraising Campaign
A fundraising campaign is a Donation plan with fundraising settings enabled. It shows donors your goal, progress, and donation options.
Fundraising Goals
The fundraising goal is the target amount shown to donors, such as $5,000 for a community project or $25,000 for a campaign.
Campaign End Dates
Campaign end dates let you show a campaign timeline and optionally close donations after the date passes.
Progress Bars and Metrics
Progress bars and metrics help donors understand campaign momentum. PayPress can show amount raised, goal percentage, progress bar, donation count, and goal reached messaging.
Donation Count and Amount Raised
Donation Count and Amount Raised show how many successful donations have contributed to the campaign and how much has been raised toward the goal.
Cached Page Behavior
PayPress is designed so public donation and fundraising pages can remain cacheable while dynamic campaign state stays fresh.
Fundraising REST Hydration
REST hydration means the fundraising page loads basic markup first, then PayPress requests current campaign state and updates the page for visitors.
Testing Fundraising Campaigns
Testing confirms that fundraising checkout, metrics, cached-page behavior, refunds, and donation controls work before a campaign goes public.
