Overview
Campaign end dates let you show a campaign timeline and optionally close donations after the date passes.
Requirements
- Fundraising enabled.
- Optional end date configured.
- Close Donations After End Date enabled only if desired.
Steps
- Open the fundraising Donation plan.
- Set an optional end date.
- Decide whether donations should close after that date.
- Save the plan.
- Test the campaign display before and after the configured date if possible.
Expected Result
The campaign can display end-date availability. If close-after-end-date is enabled and the date has passed, donation checkout should be blocked by server-side validation.
Important Notes
An end date alone does not have to close donations. Closing donations after the end date is a separate setting.
Troubleshooting
If visitors see Donations are now closed, check the end date and close-after-end-date setting. If administrators see different behavior than visitors, check caching and hydration.
