Overview
PayPress displays customer information from Stripe and WordPress when available. This helps you identify who placed an order.
Requirements
- An order with customer details.
- Stripe Checkout completed or attempted.
- Optional logged-in WordPress user context.
Steps
- Open PayPress Orders.
- Review the Customer column.
- Open Order Details.
- Review Customer Information.
- Compare with Stripe Customer details when needed.
Expected Result
Customer information may include name, email, WordPress username, Stripe customer ID, and other available billing context depending on checkout type.
Important Notes
Guest checkout may not have a WordPress username. Logged-in checkout may show the username when PayPress can associate the order with a WordPress user. Stripe Customer reuse depends on stored customer relationships.
Troubleshooting
If customer name is missing, Stripe may only have provided an email. If username is missing, the purchase may have been a guest checkout. If the wrong Stripe customer appears, review customer reuse and subscription history.
